Sentemo

Name

Sentemo – a tool for determining the sentiment of short texts

Description

Sentemo is an open-access online tool used to process and determine the sentiment of textual data in the Polish language in the form of polarization distribution of emotional overtones. This tool is helpful in defining the nature of the analyzed texts by indicating the positive or negative markedness of the statement. Sentiment analysis can be used in various areas, such as marketing (e.g. monitoring the emotional overtones in customer opinions), e-commerce (e.g. grouping products, detecting anomalies in descriptions, recommendations), politics (e.g. tracking voters’ reactions), or as an element of scientific research (e.g. research on Polish texts in social media with biased opinion).
