Morfeusz 2 (also Nowy Morfeusz) is a dictionary based morphological analyser and generator for Polish. Service output will include tagging for the provided words. Quite crucially, the tool enlists all forms of all lexemes for a particular word without taking sentential context into consideration. To illustrate the point, the Polish word form “kosy” may refer to the singular genitive, plural nominative, plural accusative or plural vocative of the noun “kosa” (‘scythe’) and to the plural nominative, plural accusative or plural vocative of the noun “kos” (‘blackbird’) – Morfeusz will enlist all these cases. Another function of this tool is morphological synthesis, i.e. the creation of the exponent of the inflectional form given by indicating a lemma.
