dc.descriptionplWordNet (Słowosieć) 5.0 is a lexical-semantic database of Polish in which lexical units are organised into synsets and connected through semantic relations. The distributed file contains 196,528 lexical entries, 297,734 word senses and 231,449 synsets. It covers nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs, and includes 152,923 definitions and 230,196 usage examples. The file records 787,725 synset relations and 262,076 sense relations, including hypernymy, hyponymy, meronymy, antonymy, derivation and aspect relations. Non-empty Interlingual Index (ILI) identifiers are provided for 42,751 synsets. The data are distributed as UTF-8 XML in WN-LMF 1.4 (WordNet Lexical Markup Framework) format, compressed with GZIP (.xml.gz). The lexicon version declared in the file is 5.0. The resource can support research into Polish lexis and semantics and the development of natural language processing applications, including semantic relation analysis and word sense disambiguation.
