Farewell to Professor Jerzy Bartmiński

It is with deep sorrow that we have learned of the death of Professor Jerzy Bartmiński – an outstanding linguist, a founder of the world-renowned Lublin Ethnolinguistic School, a researcher, an organiser and an innovator of the scientific community. He was a spiritus movens of the Lublin humanities, an active and law-abiding citizen.

Professor Jerzy Bartmiński was for many years a friend, a mentor and an advisor strongly involved in the work of the CLARIN-PL Programme Board. His experience, wisdom and enthusiasm made a significant contribution to the development of our team.

Professor’s legacy will remain with us, non omnis moriar!
